Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and a number of ministers to follow up on the executive position of the national project for the development of Sinai, especially with regard to land reclamation and cultivation.
Spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Bassam Radi, said that the meeting dealt with following up on the executive position of the national project for the development of Central and North Sinai, especially with regard to reclamation and cultivation of lands and irrigation with water discharged from the Bahr Al-Baqar station. The target is to be cultivated in Sinai, and the various project details, lifting stations, irrigation water transmission lines and their various paths, as well as electrical supply stations and electricity transmission lines.
Al-Sisi directed the achievement of coordination and integration between state agencies, especially the joint work sectors of irrigation and agriculture, to accelerate the implementation steps of this strategic project, and for its significant impact on the state’s efforts in the comprehensive development of the Sinai Peninsula.
