Mr Huntley said he considers himself lucky to rescue his second blue phase tree snake this week.
‘I couldn’t believe how vibrant blue he was, absolutely beautiful,’ he said.
While the common tree snake is regularly found in the Sunshine Coast, Mr Huntley said a blue phase is a rare but exciting find.
‘They can come in yellow, varying green shades and even jet black, but a turquoise aqua colour is really rare,’ he said.
