This is a Class II recall, which the FDA defines as: “A situation in which use of or exposure to an infringing product may cause adverse health consequences on a temporary basis, when the effects are medically reversible and the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
The FDA says the recall of the product began on January 28 and is still ongoing.
The products are being withdrawn from the market, said a statement provided to Trends Wide by PepsiCo on behalf of the North American Coffee Partnership, its joint organization with Starbucks.
“The North American Coffee Association is committed to a high level of quality in the products we serve.
