Madrid, Jan 16 (.).- The Public Treasury of Spain will carry out two debt auctions this coming week, the last in January, in which it has already placed more than 15,000 million euros.
On Tuesday, it will offer three- and nine-month bills to the market. The last time Spain placed bills with these terms on the market was last December 14, in which 1,655 million were awarded.
Of this figure, 1,155 million were at nine months, with an interest of -0.558%, and the rest at three months, at -0.690%.
Next Thursday it will hold an auction of State bonds and obligations with a term that the Treasury calendar has not yet determined.
In the week that concludes today, the Treasury has issued 5,516 million in an auction of six and twelve-month bills and another 10,000 million through a syndicated placement (carried out by banks among investors) of a ten-year bond with a great reception among investors, who made requests for more than 63,000 million.
The interest of the latter was 0.753%, one tenth above the price at that time of the Spanish debt in the secondary market.
According to the Treasury calendar, four other debt placements are planned in February, two of bonds and obligations and another two of bills with different time periods.
In 2022 Spain plans to issue 75,000 million net, the same amount as last year.
