A German horse trainer named Amona Willis has published an open letter to actor Sylvester Stallone, appealing for a personal connection based on a past encounter. The letter, published on the press release distribution service openPR, addresses the actor directly with a sense of urgency, noting that “the clock is ticking for all of us.”
In the letter, Willis references a “brief yet intense” encounter with the actor in Mexico during the mid-1990s, describing it as a “moment of genuine connection” rather than a story for gossip columns. She claims to have seen “the man before your name echoed across screens as the ‘legend’ Stallone.”
Willis suggests that despite Stallone’s immense success with iconic roles like Rocky and Rambo, he may be lacking “inner peace.” She questions whether a part of him has been left behind in his journey to stardom, asserting that the “real person” behind the celebrity has not yet “fully found himself.”
The author reveals a previous attempt to connect with Stallone two years prior, which she claims was unsuccessful because the actor “got cold feet” and was “afraid.” Willis states that his fear was “unfounded” and questions if he is still capable of social interaction that is not directed at his public persona.
Throughout the letter, Willis insists her motives are not driven by a desire for fame or financial gain. “I’m not a hunter who wants to steal your fame… Not a shark looking to profit from you,” she writes, emphasizing that she wishes to connect with Stallone as a person, not the actor. She argues that on one’s last day, what matters is “not what you have created – but who has touched your soul.”
The letter concludes with Willis expressing regret that she cannot accompany “Sylvester the person” as a friend but leaves her “invitation” open. She encourages Stallone to “test my intentions” and “scrutinize everything carefully,” promising not to damage his reputation. According to the release, Amona Willis lives in seclusion in Germany, where she runs a horse training business.
