State of Mexico approves same-sex marriage; it is the 29th entity to accept it

The Congress of Mexico state approved same-sex marriage on Tuesday and became the 29th Mexican state entity to accept it.

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) celebrated the decision of the local congress of the State of Mexico.

“We urge the remaining entities to act based on the progressivity of human rights,” the CNDH said on its Twitter account.

The National Regeneration Movement party (Morena) also congratulated the legislators of the federal entity.

“Today the State of Mexico joins the list of entities that have approved Equal Marriage. We congratulate the legislators who voted in favor of the initiative proposed by the Morena Parliamentary Group. All rights for all people! ”, Morena pointed out through her Twitter account.
