Stephen Curry savagely taunted a deflated Kings crowd, gesticulating for them to light the beam during the Warriors’ blowout elimination of Sacramento in Game 7 of the Western Conference first round playoffs.
Curry put on an historic performance in northern California as the reigning champs stayed alive.
With the Warriors up 115-91 with less than three minutes remaining, Curry was being guarded by Kevin Huerter before Sacramento called a timeout leading the four-time NBA champ to celebrate exultantly before mocking the Kings’ post-win ritual.
Unsurprisingly, Golden State closed it out, winning 120-100 in a shock blowout, particularly after the Warriors were obliterated 118-99 in a closeout Game 6 in San Francisco.
Steve Kerr’s team are now rewarded with a Western Conference Semifinals series against LeBron James and the LA Lakers.

Curry’s 50-point game was a stark reminder that he can still will the GS Warriors to greatness
Sac’s season came to a close Sunday, largely because they had not lit the beam since Game 2
Curry’s remarkable performance – the most points ever in a Game 7 — led to one reporter asking the question ‘who can stop Steph Curry?’
It was met with a smirk and the response: ‘Hopefully we never find out.’
Curry shot 20-38 from the field and 7-18 from beyond the arch in his history making performance that also set NBA Twitter ablaze as he put the game away.
The superstar led a memorable comeback in the series given the defending champions road woes all season and after going down 2-0.
‘It’s amazing ‘cuz you’re still in the fight,’ Curry said. ‘Better than the alternative of on the outside looking in. Having been down 0-2 in this series, nothing was guaranteed, you don’t take anything for granted.’
Curry’s teammate and fellow ‘Splash Brother’ Klay Thompson also spoke on the historic performance, he said: ‘What an incredible performance. This is a Game 7 I’ll forever remember as the Steph Curry game.’
Warriors’ Draymond Green added: ‘When you have rare situations, rare players do rare things. Steph Curry was that tonight. He was absolutely amazing.
‘You can tell when he’s locked in, laser-focused there’s not many defenses in the world that can stop him.’
