Draymond Green responded emphatically after coming off the bench for the Warriors in their crucial Game 4 win vs. Sacramento, and revealed postgame the move did not bother him. In fact, it was something he put forward.
Green, who was suspended for Game 3, did not start, with Steve Kerr opting for Kevon Looney over the four-time NBA champion.
‘There’s a lot of guys who, you know, 11 years in, you start to feel a sense of entitlement,’ Green said postgame.
‘I’ve never wanted to reach that point in my career where I feel entitled to something.’
Green scored 12 points – 3-14 shooting – and added 10 rebounds and 7 assists from 31 minutes. He even went as far as to suggest he should start from the sidelines.

The Michigan State man proved a problem on defense too, poetically rejecting Domantas Sabonis – who grabbed his ankle, leading to his ejection-inducing stomp in Game 2.
‘He hadn’t come off the bench in 10 years… he came to me immediately after Game 3, and he said “What do you think about me coming off the bench?”,’ Kerr said postgame.
‘We also collaborate. Decisions we make are collaborative with our key players… and I thought Draymond had a great second half.’
According to ESPN, while the primary defender he restricted the Kings to 5-15 shooting in the second half.
Kings superstar-in-the-making, De’Aaron Fox, who finished the game with 38 points, was 2-7 FG when Green primarily guarded him.
