Mets fans might be suffering but the owner’s wife is certainly living it up despite a season filled with disappointment.
Steve Cohen’s wife, Alex, was presented with a 14-karat white gold chain, including 30 carats of diamonds worth $65,000 according to TMZ.
Alex commissioned the piece herself after seeing jeweler Will Selby’s work with NBA star, Donovan Mitchell.
Selby handed Alex the chain at Citi Field Wednesday night as the Amazins snuck past the Cubs, 4-3.
‘I was dropping off a piece for Donovan Mitchell and bumped into her at the owner’s suite at The Mets game and the rest has been history,’ Selby told TMZ.

It includes the Mets logo as its centerpiece, in addition to two baseballs on each side with the Mets insignia atop them.
The chain may be small change for Alex’s given her husband’s worth sitting at a cool $17.5billion according to Forbes.
Though, it may cause some frustration with Mets fans – namely Frank the Tank – given the team’s inability to live up to lofty offseason expectations.
Cohen dropped close to half a billion dollars during free agency and has carried the largest payroll in MLB history through 2023.
Despite the outlay, New York sit second-to-last in the NL East, two games from the basement, at 52-62.
What’s more, the team have gone 3-7 through its last 10 ahead of a four games series vs. the best team in baseball, the Atlanta Braves.
