The Sudanese News Agency reported that the total number of refugees who entered the country from the Ethiopian Tigray region, since the outbreak of the unrest, has reached 66,971.
According to the agency, “the number of Ethiopian refugees who entered the Hamdayit center yesterday reached 34, bringing the total number to 48,027, and the number of entry into the city center yesterday reached 5 refugees, bringing the total number to 18,944, and the total number of entry to Sudan since the outbreak of unrest in Tigray region reached 66,971 refugees.”
The agency added, “The total number deported until yesterday to Al-Tanideba camp reached 13,151 refugees, and there was no deportation yesterday from the reception centers to Al-Tanideba camp. The remaining number in the Hamdayat reception center until yesterday is 27,724, and the remaining number in the city reception center until yesterday is 6,492 refugees and the total number remaining in the reception centers. As of yesterday, 34,216 refugees have been deported to the permanent camps, and the deportation is still suspended from the reception centers to the Al-Tanideba camp.
