
© Reuters. Suma Capital enters the shareholding of Berria Bikes
Barcelona, Mar 16 (.).- Suma Capital, the independent manager of alternative assets, has entered into the shareholding of Berria Bikes, a Spanish company specializing in high-performance bicycles, as a minority shareholder.
In a statement, the executive director and co-founder of Berria Bikes, David Vitoria, assured this Thursday that “we have found in Suma Capital the ideal partner to support us in the new phase that we are facing as a company”, with the aim of continuing to penetrate the international market.
The bicycle company closed 2022 with a turnover of 16 million euros, of which 35% came from the international market, ten points above the previous year.
Currently, Berria Bikes is present in 30 countries with more than 400 specialized points of sale, including Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Suma Capital will support the bicycle company with its expansion capital fund, SC Growth Fund II, which was created with the aim of supporting profitable Spanish companies to accelerate their growth plans and which has 160 million euros.
