A Swedish nurse won a competition in which she watched 60 films in the full program of the “Goteborg” Film Festival on an isolated island in Sweden.
Young Swedish woman Lena Inroth surpassed 12,000 film-loving participants all over the world.
The nurse, who worked in a special department for Covid-19 patients during the epidemic, said that she was hoping for “a week in which you enjoy an atmosphere different from the reality that you live in hospitals.”
The conditions of the epidemic prevented films participating in the festival from being shown in cinemas, and instead broadcasting them directly through a website.
The festival organizers said that they were looking for an authentic cinema lover who would be emotionally and psychologically qualified for the task.
Lisa Enrott, who says the epidemic has drained her energy, will have to spend a week alone at the Butter Noster lighthouse on the remote island of Hamanskar, Sweden.
The competition requires that the winner not take a mobile phone, computer, books or other entertainment with him.
“The wind, the sea, and the idea of being part of a reality completely different from the one I have been living through in the shadow of an epidemic for a week. It’s all really attractive,” says Inroth.
According to the terms of the competition, the winner was transported Saturday morning by boat to the island, and she will record her condition daily in a video.
The festival organizers said they deemed it right to give this unique opportunity to one of the heroes working in the healthcare sector in a time of pandemic.
