A man has been rushed to hospital after he was repeatedly stabbed in the stomach at a busy Sydney train station.
The 41-year-old man was stabbed twice in the abdomen while standing on a platform at Parramatta Railway Station in Sydney’s west at 1pm on Wednesday.
Shocked commuters came to the bleeding man’s aide before paramedics rushed him to Westmead Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

NSW Ambulance Inspector Kevin McSweeney said ‘there was significant blood loss’ from the middle-aged man.
‘Paramedics worked to stabilise the patient before getting him to hospital,’ he said.
‘Bystanders did a great job raising the alarm and looking after the patient before paramedic crews arrived.
‘Injuries caused by stabbings are always of concern. We can treat the wound as we see it, but it’s the damage you can’t see internally which is a worry.’

The 41-year-old is now in a ‘serious but stable condition’ at Westmead Hospital, according to NSW Ambulance.
NSW Police said a crime scene has been established and no one has been arrested at this stage.
No information about the perpetrator has so far been released.
