Syrian local sources reported from the eastern countryside of Aleppo, that a series of explosions took place on Sunday evening in the village of Tarhin, which is affiliated with the Al-Bab area, which is under the control of the Turkish-backed armed factions.
The sources pointed out, “The explosions were caused by unidentified drones carrying out 3 successive raids targeting the militants’ oil refining sites on the outskirts of the village of Tarhine.”
She added, “The planes flew over the village at a low altitude for a short time, before heading directly to the sites of the oil refineries, targeting them with a number of bombs they were carrying, which led to violent explosions, the sound of which was heard in large parts of the region.”
She emphasized that “the raids caused great material damage, destroyed a wide area completely, and resulted in the outbreak of several sporadic fires, but they did not result in any deaths or injuries.”
No one has claimed responsibility for the strikes, at a time during which the militants’ media platforms have witnessed exchanges of speculation about the identity of the aircraft that carried out the operation.
