LeBron James after Lakers knock off Nuggets: ‘Job is not done’
SportsPulse: The Los Angeles Lakers are headed back to the NBA Finals after knocking off the Nuggets in Game 5, but LeBron James is not ready to celebrate anything yet.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and receiving/concealing stolen property, according to Hennepin County (Minnesota) Sheriff records.
Beasley, 23, remains in custody and is being held without bail, according to the sheriff’s office. The arrest was made by the Plymouth (Minnesota) Police Department, accord to sheriff records.
“We are aware of the situation involving Malik Beasley and are in the process of gathering information at this time,” the Timberwolves said in a statement.
Beasley spent most of the season with the Denver Nuggets but was traded to Minnesota in a four-team deal at the February trade deadline. In 14 games with the Timberwolves, he averaged 20.7 points and 5.1 rebounds and shot 47.2% from the field and 42.6% on 3-pointers.
Saunders said Beasley participated in individual voluntary workouts but had not been part of the mini-camps this week with the group.
He will be a restricted free agent in the offseason, and the Timberwolves believed he could be part of the future at shooting guard alongside point guard D’Angelo Russell and center Karl-Anthony Towns.
