Smartphone apps to boost your Black Friday, Cyber Monday deal shopping
You smartphone can help you save big this holiday season. Here’s a look at some apps to help you land the best deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Move over, Black Friday.
Target revealed plans Friday for its “largest-ever” Cyber Week and a Cyber Monday with two, new digital “Flash Sales.”
Cyber Week starts Sunday and runs through Dec. 5 and “includes deep discounts on key categories and top items within electronics, toys, home décor, apparel, everyday essentials and more,” Target said in a news release.
Some of the biggest deals will be available Sunday and Monday while supplies last, the Minneapolis-based retailer said, adding there will be new deals every day of the sale.
“We know many people are doing more of their holiday shopping online this year, so our biggest Cyber Week yet includes more deals and more ways to save than ever before,” Rick Gomez, Target executive vice president and chief marketing, digital and strategy officer, said in a statement.

Online sales this holiday season are expected to soar as more shoppers hunker down at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Cyber Monday is expected to keep its top spot as the busiest online shopping day with shoppers expected to spend $12.7 billion, 35% more than in 2019, according to Adobe Analytics.
Target says the “Flash Sales” are being offered for the first time and the “limited-time-only offers will give guests a chance to score some of the lowest prices of the season on dozens of items.”
The first Flash Sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET and the second is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday.
Ahead of Black Friday, Target added more parking spaces for its Drive Up curbside pickup and many of the items will be available for pickup or delivery.

- Buy two Disney toys, get one free
- Up to 40% off select Lego products
- Tuesday, Dec. 1: Up to 50% off power shave and dental items
- Wednesday, Dec. 2: Buy one, get one 20% off Airtime pre-paid cards
- Thursday, Dec. 3: 27-inch HP computer monitor for $119.99
- Friday, Dec. 4: 30% off handbags
- Saturday, Dec. 5: Buy two, get one free movies and board games
