(CNN) — There’s some bad blood brewing between Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster fans.
Pre-sales for a handful of dates on Taylor Swift’s new tour began Tuesday. However, angry supporters reported that the ticketing website appeared to crash or freeze during pre-sale. Customers took to Twitter to complain about Ticketmaster not loading or allowing them to access tickets, despite having a pre-sale code for verified fans.
“I got a code and signed in to the correct account, but it says I’m not verified?! What do I do?”, wrote a follower on Twitter. Other fans echoed that complaint, with some asking Ticketmaster to “FIX THIS”.
However, Ticketmaster told CNN Business that the “site is not down” and that “people are actively buying tickets.”
Ticketmaster issued a statement Tuesday afternoon on Twitter, writing that “there has been historically unprecedented demand with millions coming forward” to purchase tickets for Swift’s tour. He told customers still waiting in the virtual queue that was moving and to “hold your ground.”
Later, Ticketmaster said on Twitter that to “provide a seamless experience for cardholders and address historic ticket demand” they will reschedule the exclusive pre-sale for Capital One cardholders to Wednesday, November 16 at 2 pm local time.
“The rescheduling will not affect ticket availability for Capital One cardholders,” it added.
In response to the lawsuit, Ticketmaster also changed the advance sales start times for Swift’s other concert dates. “Thank you for your patience as we continue to manage this large demand,” the company said.
“Fans who received a TaylorSwiftTix pre-sale code should log in and access the queue via the link they received via text instead of going through the Ticketmaster home page,” the company said. “This will ensure an optimal shopping experience.”
The US tour of “The Eras Tour” begins on March 18 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona and ends on August 5 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Swift recently became the first artist to simultaneously top ten spots on the Billboard Hot 100 following the release of her latest album, “Midnights.”
