Teenager charged with murder after a double stabbing in Sydney’s west saw a 17-year-old girl die and another left fighting for her life in hospital

A teenager has been accused of stabbing a 17-year-old to death and leaving another fighting for life in hospital.
Emergency services were called to an apartment complex on Church Street, Parramatta, in Sydney’s west, about 10.45pm on Friday, following reports of an altercation.
There they found two 17-year-old girls with stab wounds and rushed them to Westmead Hospital.

One of the girls died and is yet to be identified, while the other is left fighting for her life.
Police arrested a 19-year-old known to the two girls, about 2.50am and he assisted with inquires.
The teenager has since been charged with murder, and wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and is due appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
