The head of the Civil Aviation Organization in Iran, Torj Dehghani Zanganeh, said that the Iran Airlines deal with “Airbus” and ATR, which was signed upon the signing of the Iran nuclear deal, was suspended after the United States withdrew from the agreement in 2018, as for the airline deal. The Iranian Air Force, “Iran Air,” with the “Boeing” company, the latter was informed in a message that the fate of the deal must be settled quickly.
He also indicated that the suspension of the purchase agreement could be lifted once the US embargo on Iran is lifted.
He revealed that 8 new aircraft have joined Iran’s air fleet, indicating that these new aircraft were manufactured in 2004 and 2005 and do not violate the law banning entry of aircraft that are more than 15 years old in the country’s air fleet.
