Testament, the most requested notarial document in CDMX in 2022

Los Notary services The most requested by the population of the capital of the country during 2022 were the wills and not the processes related to the deed and purchase of real estate, detailed the College of Notaries of Mexico City.

At a press conference, the president of the Notaries Association of Mexico City, Luis Antonio Montes de Oca Mayagoitia, presented the results of the ninth Survey of Notary Services in the city, which aims to gather information on the perception of this type of of services.

“It is an informative and transparency exercise by the notaries of Mexico City. The study considers both the opinion of the population as a whole, as well as that of users of notary services in the capital. The results are of the utmost importance, they allow us to implement strategies to constantly improve notary services ”, he pointed out.

In 2022, a total of 50 homes were included to reach a volume of 12,000 total cases in the sample.

Among the main results, it stands out that the services most requested by the population during 2022 were wills (concentrating 49% of the population); while 28% were concentrated in deeds and 14% in purchase and sale contracts.

In addition, more than 50% of the population has deeded their house in Mexico City, an indication that the culture of welfare continues to advance.

On the other hand, there is an increase in the testamentary culture, since 23% of the population in Mexico City has a will, exceeding the national average, which is 8 percent.

At the same time, the survey shows that the program “September Month of the Testament” has positioned itself as one of the most popular and most approved among the population, precisely 62% of people are aware of the campaign and most of them associate it with economic benefits.

According to the president of the College of Notaries of Mexico Cityis the result of the work and joint impulse between the notariat and government authorities.

The study revealed that 47% of people considered that notarial services in the capital are good and regarding costs, 41% believe that they are reasonable.

“The percentage is higher when it comes to people who have previously requested a service at a notary, 61% of users believe that the costs are justified by the service and security they receive,” the analysis reiterated.
