The Governor of New Lion, Samuel García Sepúlveda, informed that authorities of Texas 500,000 biological vaccines were donated to the state Pfizer, with which it is expected to immunize all children between 5 and 14 years of age against Covid-19, through the Cross-Border Vaccination Program.
“The Cross-Border Vaccination Program that began last week will allow us to have the logistics to upload from 3,000 to 5,000 daily vaccines, including Saturday and Sunday, starting next Monday, January 24”, there will be surveillance of the route by the Sedena, National Guard, Civil Force and municipal police, said García Sepúlveda.
He assured that this will allow New Lion become the first state that in the next three months has vaccinated its entire population aged 5 and older.
This donation of vaccines is the result of having alliances with Texas in the areas of trade and health, he stressed.
To date, 165,000 minors have been registered for this program, however the governor asked not to go to the Colombia bridge if their registration is not confirmed.
He indicated that from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. buses and vans will arrive from the municipalities in the north of the state, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. around 10 trucks per day will be served with children from public schools and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. private cars will be received.

Currently there are 91% with the first dose of people over 18 years old, 81% with the second dose; 67% with the second dose from 15 to 17 years and 128,000 vaccinated with the Cross-Border Vaccination Program.
The Governor of New Lion invited to register minors in the Cross-Border Vaccination Program both on the Laredo and McAllen routes, as well as the Colombia Bridge, the latter aimed at public schools and parents who take their children in private vehicles.
