The teams participating in the 2023 Asian Cup, which will be held in Qatar between January 12 and February 10, have begun arriving in Doha.
The first team to arrive at Hamad Airport in the Qatari capital – last Friday – was India, which is participating in the finals for the fifth time in its history.
The Indian national team is competing in the continental championship in Group Two, along with Australia, Uzbekistan and Syria.
The Indian team begins its campaign in the Continental Cup against Australia, champion of the 2015 edition, on January 12, before meeting the Uzbek national team on the 17 of the same month, and concludes the group stage with a meeting with the Syrian team on the 23 of this month.
The Blue Tigers team was followed by the Saudi team, which arrived – yesterday, Sunday – to Doha to engage in a training camp that includes 3 friendly matches.
“Green” faces:
- Lebanon national team on January 4th
- Palestine national team on January 9
- Hong Kong national team on January 10th
The Saudi national team – which has actually begun training – will participate in the finals of the continental championship in Group Six, alongside the teams of Oman, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.

The Malaysian national team also arrived in Doha today, Monday, to participate for the fourth time in the Asian Nations Finals.
The “Malay Tigers” team plays in Group Five, alongside the teams of South Korea, Jordan and Bahrain.

- January 15: Malaysia x Jordan (Al Janoub Stadium).
- January 20: Bahrain x Malaysia (Jassim bin Hamad Stadium).
- January 25: South Korea x Malaysia (Al South Stadium).
