Tension increases in the tug of war starring the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons. According to new information from journalist Ramona Shelburne, the franchise’s frustration continues to mount as the player’s return is postponed.
Apparently, Simmons has not accepted the help that the team has offered him after he claimed to be mentally unprepared to play again. In addition, the journalist added that the player has not provided the franchise with an update on his status.
The All-Star refrained from joining the 76ers discipline for the entire training camp and the preseason in an attempt to force a trade. He eventually rejoined training briefly before transferring the need for time to the team due to personal problems.
Since then, Simmons has not participated in any training with the team, but has been working individually with the coaches. Thus, there is still no specific timetable for their return. For their part, the 76ers have started the season with a balance of five wins and two losses.
