The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition affirmed that it is taking the necessary measures to neutralize and destroy the specific capabilities of the Houthis, to protect civilians and civilian objects in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Saudi Al-Ikhbariya channel reported that the coalition forces had intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis towards the Khamis Mushait region in the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the “Ansar Allah” military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced today, Thursday, that the Saudi Aramco branch in Jeddah had been targeted by a “Quds 2” winged missile.
The Houthis also confirmed, on Tuesday evening, that they had targeted Abha airport in Saudi Arabia with a drone, noting that the targeting came in response to the air escalation of the coalition and its continued siege on Yemen.
In recent weeks, the Houthis have intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia with the escalation of battles to tighten control over the Marib Governorate, which is the last stronghold of the forces of the internationally recognized Yemeni President Hadi’s government backed by the Riyadh-led coalition.
