The best home appliances in Australia for 2020 have been revealed – including the must-have air fryer, most popular rice cooker and most sought-after robot vacuum cleaner.
Comparison website Finder crowned the winners after speaking with everyday Australians about the products they bought and why they loved them.
The awards focused on common household appliances like blenders, food processors, sandwich presses and coffee machines.
The best appliances sold in Australia during 2020 have been revealed – with an ALDI food processor worth $79 taking out top spot in its category
The standing mixer from KitchenAid was the most popular in its category while Breville’s sandwich toaster proved to be the most popular
Kmart’s air fryer was found to be the best in its category – scoring the highest rating for value for money and ease of cleaning.
The budget retailer has five different air fryers on its shelves.
The winner for best food processor went to ALDI. This product got the highest ranking for value for money as well as performance.
The Tefal multi cooker was the most popular item of its kind in Australia
The $20 Ambiano slow cooker was a huge hit for families and the Morphy Richards kettles were best
Samsung has the best robot vacuum cleaners – according to the report while Breville took out the manual coffee machine division
The Kmart air fryers were the outright winners in the popular category
Breville took out a host of awards including best juicer, best sandwich press, and best coffee machine.
Tefal also did well – taking out the top spot in the rice cooker, pressure cooker and multi cooker categories.
The best rated slow cooker was the ‘Ambiano’ from Aldi and the best blender was a kitchen aid.
2020 also saw a huge rise in popularity in Australia for robot vacuum cleaners with the Samsung models preferred.
