The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said on Sunday that it had received reports of drone activity and a possible explosion in the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea.
The authority added that the drone activity came from… YemenIt called on nearby ships to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
This incident is the latest in a series of attacks in territorial waters in the Middle East since the outbreak of war between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation) on the seventh of last October.
And last month, it took over Houthi group – which controls the coast of Yemen overlooking the Red Sea – attacked a cargo ship linked to Israel, and previously launched ballistic missiles and armed drones towards Israel, and pledged to target more Israeli ships.
The Houthis have not yet commented on today’s incident.
Last week, an American warship responded to a distress call from an Israeli-operated commercial oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden that was seized by gunmen.
