The capital’s prosecutor’s office assures that María Ángela was absent voluntarily

The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office assured that the minor reported missing on January 19 at the Indios Verdes whereabouts, left voluntarily and was not a victim of crime.

Ulises Lara, spokesman for the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office, indicated that during the two days in which the young woman was absent, she was accompanied by members of the feminist collective in the area of ​​the Historic Center of Mexico City.

He explained that, from the results of the investigations carried out by this prosecutor’s office, to clarify what happened, it can be seen that the analysis of images from video surveillance cameras and interrogations indicate that María Ángela finally found shelter at a home of the members of the group, located in Nezahualcóyotl, area where it was later found.

In this sense, Ulises Lara assured that the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office has no reports that a gang dedicated to kidnapping women is operating in the Indios Verdes area.

For her part, the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, affirmed that the prosecutor’s office in the country’s capital did a good job, however, she maintained that the case will continue to be investigated. “Today she is with her family, I have not communicated with the municipal president, I am going to do it, and to continue investigating to see how everything went, the moment from when she is not with her mother until they find her “, she said.

In this sense, the chief of the capital defended that the authorities in her charge do not speculate, but rather investigate the facts, at the same time that she accused a campaign for this case.

“I am going to tell you, there was also a campaign related to disappearance, kidnapping… and the important thing here, always (is that) we do not speculate, we investigate. From the Secretary of Citizen Security, from the government instances and from the Attorney General’s Office of Justice, ”he said.

It should be remembered that the day the young woman was found, it was the residents of the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl who told the authorities that the minor appeared wrapped in black garbage bags, naked and tied hand and foot and with a tape around her stomach. . Same statement from one of the traffic police who arrived at the scene to help her, and who stated that the minor was in a state of shock and looking for her family.
