And it sentenced them to life imprisonment, and the ruling also included punishment of the first suspect for the crime of consuming psychotropic substances with imprisonment for a period of 3 years, a fine of 50 thousand dirhams, and a one-year imprisonment for the two crimes of hitting a police patrol and damaging a patrol car.
He was also sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for the crime of driving a car on the public road while he is under the influence of consuming psychotropic substances, a fine of 30,000 dirhams and suspension of his driving license until its validity expires, a ban on renewing it or obtaining another time, and a 6-month imprisonment and a fine 30,000 Dirhams for the crime of driving a car on the public road with an imprinted number plate.
And to punish the second suspect for the crime of using a psychotropic substance with imprisonment for a period of 3 years and a fine of 50 thousand dirhams. It also convicted the third defendant for the crime of using a psychotropic substance, and sentenced him to two years imprisonment and fined him 50 thousand dirhams.
The details of the incident are summarized in the receipt of a report to the operations room of Abu Dhabi Police, about an attack and a threat in a desert area, while the victims were present, when they were surprised by the arrival of a car containing 3 people who were in an abnormal condition.
Two of them threatened the first victim with a white weapon and removed him from the place, while the third accused attempted to rape a victim by holding her, but she resisted and prevented him from completing his crime, and the other two defendants tried to take turns approaching her.
While one of the victims managed to escape from them and inform the security authorities, which went to the scene of the incident, the defendants rushed to flee, but the police reached them quickly.
One of the defendants, while trying to flee his car, deliberately hit the police car and caused damage to it and endangered the lives of its members, so all the defendants were arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution Office, which began investigation with them and ordered their precautionary detention and referred them to the court and demanded the maximum penalties for them.
