In Cleveland, they maintain their commitment to strengthening the foundations of their internal organization. At the end of last December, the Ohio franchise renewed its head coach, JB Bickerstaff, until 2027. A path that would follow two weeks later the general manager Koby Altman, who extended his deal through 2028.
Following this line, the Cavaliers will incorporate José Manuel Calderón as a special adviser to the main offices, as announced by the journalist from ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski. The former player had already belonged to the Cavaliers discipline during the 2017-18 season, in which he played 57 games.
After retiring in 2019, Calderón continued to be linked to the NBA as an assistant to Michelle Roberts, executive of the Players Association. Now, the Spaniard will face a new experience in the league from a very different perspective than the one he had met so far.
