China’s Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed its categorical rejection of new US legislation on Tibet signed by President Donald Trump this week.
The issues relating to Tibet are an internal affair, said Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian at a press briefing.
The law provides for the establishment of a US consulate in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet region, and the absolute right of Tibetans to choose a successor to the Dalai Lama.
