Neither of the two NBA teams based in the city of Los Angeles is currently in the desired scenario. In the case of the Clippers, even so, the seventh position in the Western Conference that they currently occupy after having lost their two great stars, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, due to injury, is meritorious.
Now, in the Los Angeles franchise they are planning to carry out some operation before the market closes that will allow them to reinforce the roster and, on the other hand, acquire some future draft round that gives them some flexibility. To do this, they have put Eric Bledsoe, Marcus Morris and Serge Ibaka on the market, as reported by the journalist from The Ringer Kevin O’Connor.
In Ibaka’s case, this decision is not surprising given that he has lost weight in the rotation in what is the last year of his contract. For his part, Bledsoe will collect a total of 18.1 million dollars this course but is only guaranteed 3.9 million for the next one.
O’Connor emphasizes that the Clippers would be looking for a guarantee base, a lack that they have dragged on for the last few years. Some names that have emerged as possible candidates are Jalen Brunson, Dennis Schröder and Goran Dragic.
