The spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Khaled Mujahid, said that the Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, noted during the meeting of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers to discuss the agenda of the 54th session, which she presumably chaired, to “the necessity of establishing an Arab platform for the Council of Arab Health Ministers, to exchange Experiences and success stories about the efforts made to address the Coronavirus pandemic among Member States.
Khaled Mujahid pointed out that this platform “will include a mechanism for rapid response to the needs of countries, and providing them with medical aid in light of the current crisis, and that the minister confirmed the readiness of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population to provide full technical support to establish the platform within two months.”
Hala Zayed indicated that “the platform will contribute to opening channels for discussion between decision-makers in Arab countries,” stressing “the importance for the platform to include the results of countries’ participation in clinical trials of anti-Coronavirus vaccines, and countries ’strategies to confront epidemic diseases, in addition to making available legislation that states implement in The health field for the exchange and circulation of these legislations to guide their experiences in various topics and benefit from them in a way that contributes to speeding up the development of legislation, in addition to providing health services to refugees, through the platform to ensure the mobilization of Arab countries’ resources to provide support to the displaced and refugees, “according to the spokesperson of the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
