Czech President Milos Zeman asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to provide him with the Corona virus, Sputnik V, indicating that the matter was being discussed with Prime Minister Andrei Babis.
He said, “If the information provided to me is correct, the application will be submitted, but of course, the certificate will be necessary. The certificate of the Czech State Institute for Drug Control will be sufficient for me.”
According to the leader of the Czech “pirate” party, Ivan Bartosz, Zeman spoke in mid-February in favor of the “Austrian and Serbian method” of vaccination, which began to buy the vaccine, without waiting for drug certification in the European Medicines Agency limited to national approval for the vaccine.
During a meeting last Tuesday, the President discussed with senior officials in the Czech Republic the issue of using those drugs that passed the registration process at the European Medicines Agency to vaccinate the population, at a time when Prime Minister Babis visited Austria and Serbia a few weeks ago to study the experience of buying and using the Russian vaccine.
