More than 800 people were arrested in a DEA raid in which more than 1.8 million fake fentanyl medical pills were seized over 2 months. In addition, the DEA seized more than 4,000 kilograms of methamphetamine and more than 650 kilograms of cocaine. Authorities said Thursday that the pills are being trafficked from Mexico, where they are produced by cartels. The Acting Attorney General said illegal fentanyl caused about 3 out of 4 overdoses in the United States in 2020.
