The Egyptian poet and playwright Ibrahim Al-Rifai died early this morning, Saturday, of his infection with the new Corona virus.
The funeral of Al-Rifai’s body took place today, after the noon prayer, from his hometown in the village of Damru Al-Haddadi in the Sidi Salem district in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.
The play “Apparently Anh Baybars”, an improvisation comedy of history, is one of the most famous works of Al-Rifai, during which he used some historical figures, along with many techniques that helped him depart from what is typical of Arab theatrical works.
