The former Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, and the former Director of the Public Security Service, Engineer Abdul Hadi Al-Majali, died today, Wednesday, after being infected with the Coronavirus.
Earlier on Tuesday, a source close to the Majali family confirmed that the former official was infected 3 weeks after receiving the vaccine, indicating that he had not received the second dose of the vaccine.
The source added that my two brothers, former Prime Minister Abdel Salam and Abdel-Hay, also contracted the virus, stressing that their general condition is good, and they are under domestic isolation.
He said that the two brothers Al-Majali became infected with the virus 10 days after they received the first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine, and they did not receive the second dose.
The deceased was born in 1934 in Karak Governorate, and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Baghdad in 1957.
He held several positions, including Ambassador to the United States of America, Director of Public Security, Minister of Public Works and Housing, and Speaker of Parliament.
