Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who was toppled by the military coup on February 1, appeared in court on Monday, via video technology, and appeared “in good health,” according to her lawyer.

Lawyer Khin Maung Zhao added, “The session has started and my client appeared in the hall via video and looked in good health.”
Suu Kyi, 75, is being tried for illegal importing of wireless communication devices and for violating measures to contain the Corona virus.
The lawyer and human rights activist explained that he was unable to speak with his Nobel Peace Prize client, prior to the hearing.
It is reported that the military seized power in Myanmar on February 1, declared a state of emergency in the country for one year, arrested the country’s civilian leadership, including the leader of the ruling party Aung San Suu Kyi, and announced violations during the last general elections that took place in November 2020.
