The Director of the World Health Organization fears that no agreement will be reached on epidemics health

Expressed by General Manager LGlobal Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday expressed his concern that countries may not adhere to the deadline set for next May to complete negotiations and adopt a legally binding treaty on… Epidemics.

“I must say that I am concerned that member states may not meet this commitment,” he said in a speech to the WHO Executive Board.

He added, “In my view, any failure to reach an agreement on epidemics and amendments to the International Health Regulations will be a missed opportunity that future generations may not forgive us for.”
