The British newspaper “The Guardian”, which reported the news, indicated that “researchers have discovered in Britain at least 32 cases of this new phase of the virus, while in Denmark 35 cases were found, and in Nigeria 12 cases, while in the United States and France it has been done.” 7 cases were registered, in addition to 5 cases in Ghana, Australia, Canada, Jordan and Spain.
The newspaper pointed out that “the new mutation of the virus has a set of factors that may be troubling, especially the E484K mutation in the spike protein, which is also found in the Brazilian and South African strains, which makes the virus more resistant to antibodies.”
Last December, Britain announced the discovery of a new strain of Corona, which is spreading 70% faster than the original virus and 30% more deadly.
