According to the “Russia Today” news channel, the document specifies the system and procedures for collecting funds for preparing and holding public events, and for spending the donations received for this purpose.
The channel stated that the bill prohibits the financing of public events by foreign countries, organizations, citizens, stateless people, non-profit organizations, foreigners under the age of 16, anonymous donors and legal entities registered less than one year before the date of transfer of funds or other property.
During the finalization of the bill, unregistered social institutions and individuals – foreign agents were added to this list, and on the second reading, amendments were made to the bill, according to which it would be necessary to report the spending of funds collected for the event, only if the number of participants in it exceeded 500 people.
