The Egyptian national team defeats its Chilean counterpart in the opening of the Handball World Cup

The Egyptian national team won a valuable victory over its Chilean counterpart, with a score of 35-29, today, Wednesday, at the opening of the 27th edition of the Handball World Cup, which Egypt is hosting from January 13-31.

The first half ended with the victory of the “Pharaohs” team, by 7 goals, with a score of 18-11.

Egyptian national team star Yahya El Daraa won the best player award in the match, scoring 6 goals out of 6 shots, with a 100% score.

With this victory, the Egyptian team led Group G, waiting for the match that would bring together the other two teams in the group, Sweden and North Macedonia, on Thursday.
