Berlin, March 30 (.).- The euro remained above 1.11 dollars on Wednesday and at 15:00 GMT it was exchanged in the Frankfurt foreign exchange market at 1.116, achieving a slight rebound compared to 1.110 on the day previous.
It is the second day in a row that the euro has shown signs of stabilization after being bolstered on Tuesday by news of a possible de-escalation of the war in Ukraine.
Moscow’s announcement that it will not immediately demand a payment in rubles for the gas, which it was feared could lead to a supply interruption, also helped to dampen investor sentiment.
The European Central Bank (ECB) set the reference exchange rate for the euro on Wednesday at 1.1126 dollars.
