the FIFA World Cup arrives in Mexico

the trophy of the world Cup which will be awarded to the winner of Qatar 2022 arrived this Saturday morning at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) from Heathrow, in London, for a brief tour of Mexico City, Monterrey, Nuevo León and Guadalajara, Jalisco.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, went to the air terminal to receive the FIFA World Cup 20-22, accompanied by the ambassador of Qatar in Mexico, Mohammed Alkuwari and the Undersecretary of the SRE, Martha Delgado.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) selected the Mexico City as one of the first places where the trophy will be shown to fans before the 23rd edition of the World Cup that will take place from November 18 to December 20.

After its arrival in Mexico, the trophy will be transferred to the Iztapalapa City Hall where it will be exhibited on October 16 and 17 at the Utopia of Santa Cruz Meyehualco.

Subsequently, the world Cup will be presented at a gala dinner on October 17 inside the Aztec stadium.

After its stay in Mexico City, the trophy will be transferred to Monterrey, Nuevo León, where it will be exhibited at Parque Fundidora and will also be presented during a gala dinner at the Hhotel Quinta Real.

Guadalajara, Jalisco will be the third and last Mexican destination in which the World Cup will be shown. Expo Guadalajara will be the place where the FIFA trophy closes its tour of the Republic, to move to Brazil.

The world Cup will be disputed by 32 teams, including the Mexican National Team, during November and December in Qatar.
