Spokesman for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, condemned the settlers’ attacks that targeted Palestinians and caused injuries to a number of them and damage to their properties in the recently occupied West Bank.
He also condemned the continuation of the policy of displacing and seizing Jerusalemite families from their homes, in addition to continuing attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites through repeated incursions by settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Abu Rudeineh held the Israeli government responsible for the continuation of the settlers’ attacks, the continuation of the settlement policy and the violation of the sanctity of Islamic and Christian sanctities, stressing that the settlement is illegal and contrary to international legitimacy, especially Resolution 2334, stressing that the occupation will cease to exist on the Palestinian land no matter how long it takes.
He renewed the call of the international community and the Security Council to expedite the provision of international protection for the Palestinian people, implement international legitimacy decisions in this regard, and press the Israeli government to act in order to stop these attacks.
He emphasized that Israel cannot continue to act as a state above the law.
