(CNN Spanish) — The creators of the new Marvel movie have hit the nail on the head with the first trailer for “The Marvels.”
This Tuesday the first preview of the production was released in which Brie Larson appears as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel; Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau; and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.
The trio is the protagonist of the film, a spinoff from 2019’s “Captain Marvel,” starring Larson. The catchphrase of “The Marvels” is “Acting as a team changes everything and everyone.”
Also drawing a lot of attention was the appearance of Samuel L. Jackson in the role of Nick Fury, when the three women have to come together to put things in their place, much to the delight of Vellani’s character.
“A big part of why I wanted to play Captain Marvel was because of Ms. Marvel and what that meant,” Larson told Entertainment Weekly of the character of Vellani, who is Muslim and of Pakistani descent. “Seeing that character performed by someone so bright and with so much potential is really exciting.”
“The Marvels” will be released in theaters on November 10.
