Today, Sunday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan will visit the capital, Baghdad, on Monday.
“Tomorrow, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein will receive the foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, and the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry,” ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a press statement.
He added, “The visit comes to hold the trilateral meeting at the ministerial level.”

Last Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced the postponement of the tripartite summit between Iraq, Jordan and Egypt, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday in the capital Baghdad, due to the collision of two trains in the Egyptian city of Sohag.
