French government spokesman Gabriel Atal said the government will study a proposal that Paris subject to a three-week lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Atal told France Inter radio today, Friday, that “it is clear that this will be studied,” although he added that he had some doubts about whether this short shutdown would have an effect or not.
The deputy mayor of Paris said on Thursday that Paris would present a three-week lockdown plan to the government.
French Prime Minister Jean Castex had said earlier that France would impose measures including closing the weekend gates in Paris and 19 other regions, starting from the beginning of March if the Covid-19 trends worsen.
