Renovators upgrading their toilet can save themselves a lot of strain with a little-known service offered by Bunnings.
Replacing your old toilet can often be a costly and complicated process because once you purchase a new toilet, you then have to uninstall and dump the old one in an appropriate location.
Finding the right plumber and knowing where to look for the best price can also be very time consuming.

But now Australian tradie website Hipages has teamed up with the hardware giant to provide a one-stop shop for homeowners looking to revamp their bathroom.
Homeowners who purchase a new dunny can pay a $275 fixed fee to have the upgrade installed and to get the old one taken away.
The time-saving measure was rolled out in 2018 and has been used by hundreds of Aussies looking for a new throne.
Hipages boss David Vitek said the service aimed to help Australians easily book a qualified, local tradie online.
‘Bunnings customers simply purchase the installation in-store with their toilet suite, then follow a simple process to connect with a Hipages tradie,’ he said.

But though the service has caused quite a splash, one customer warned that she was charged $235 more than the fixed fee.
Although Hipages collaborates with over 4,000 plumbers nationwide who go through a vetting process, which includes license and ABN checks, the woman on claimed that her toilet installation did not appear to be above board.
She said there was no official bill or invoice and that she was asked to pay cash on the spot.
The woman also said the tradie got rid of the toilet in a commercial business dumpster one street away.
‘The Bunnings Warehouse Toilet Installation Promotion seems more like a scam. That is not a good deal,’ she said.
But Bunnings is adamant the service is making life easier for those looking to renovate their bathroom.
‘This is an exciting offer for Bunnings customers and local tradies across Australia, making it easier and more affordable for customers to update their bathroom and connect with local tradies to assist with those jobs that require a licensed tradesperson,’ managing director Michael Schneider said.
