Barcelona, March 20 (.).- The Spanish Host-In hotel investment forum, organized by the Hotusa Group and CBRE, will bring together some 350 professionals linked to the real estate and hotel sector next Monday in Madrid to discuss the recovery of the market Europe, the challenges of the Iberian market and the evolution of the sector.
The Spanish Host-In celebrates its second edition this year, after the pandemic forced last year’s to be suspended, in an atmosphere of optimism, since hotel investment is expected to exceed that of 2021 this year.
In an interview with Efe, the president of the Hotusa Group, Amancio López, and the president of CBRE Spain, Adolfo Ramírez-Escudero, explained the “opportunity” of holding a forum of these characteristics in Spain at a time when Europe It has many similar days and in which changes occur at great speed.
Factors such as digitization and sustainability are accelerating changes in the sector, forcing investors and operators to “rethink” many things, Ramírez-Escudero pointed out.
The Spanish Host-In forum is a meeting point that brings together all the players in the world of hotel investment: promoters, family offices, hotel chains, financial entities, investment funds and other professionals in this market.
It is a space that aims to promote dialogue and the exchange of ideas that, in addition to attending round tables, favor the development of projects and agreements.
30% of the attendees at this edition are foreigners and it is expected that in the following years the event will be held in January, on dates close to Fitur to take advantage of all the synergies that the tourism fair fosters, as happened in the first edition , in 2020.
It so happens that the increase in infections caused by the omicron variant made it impossible this year to celebrate it on dates close to Fitur.
Among the participants, in addition to the presidents of Grupo Hotusa and CBRE, will also be the managing partner of Pygmalion Capital, Christophe Beauvilain; the investment director of Azora, Javier Arús; the CEO of Bankinter (MC:), Inigo Guerra; the vice president of the Círculo de Empresarios and president of Morabanc, Itinere and Habitat, Juan María Nin; the CEO EMEA of the Barceló Group, Raúl González, or the managing director of Covivio Hotels, Tugdual Millet.
The program of the event is structured in three round tables of 45 minutes that will deal with the European hotel market and its recovery; the Iberian hotel market: opportunities and challenges, and the promotion of the model.
