On Sunday, the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group accused the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia of threatening the Stockholm Agreement on Hodeidah, by carrying out air strikes on areas under the group’s control.
Al Masirah TV, affiliated with Ansar Allah group, stated that the coalition “launched 4 raids by spy planes on the districts of Al-Faza and Al-Tuhayat (south of Hodeidah).”
Al-Masirah stated that “the air strikes are among the 204 violations that the coalition and the Yemeni joint forces have carried out on the Hodeidah fronts during the past 24 hours, including 24 violations with artillery shelling and 161 with different bullets, in addition to the creation of combat fortifications in the Al-Jah and Al-Jabaliya areas south of Hodeidah.”
On the other hand, the “Giants Brigades” operating within the strength of the joint forces of the Yemeni government in Hodeidah announced, “There were deaths and injuries among the Houthis during clashes that took place for hours between the two sides at the Saqam Junction, south of the Hais district, southeast of Hodeidah.”
The media center of the “giants” brigades said, “The Houthis targeted, with automatic and medium weapons, the Bani Afif neighborhood and the Al-Jabaliya area in the Tuhayat district, south of Hodeidah, which caused a state of fear and panic among the people.”
The field escalation comes a week after the United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement, last Sunday, expressed its “concern about civilian casualties and the increase in ceasefire violations in the governorate,” stressing that it “is closely monitoring the situation and engaging in a multilateral response to prevent any further escalation of violence in the governorate.” Hodeidah. “
